Release notes

What FindData shipped recently and why it matters — one issue every two weeks, written for customers rather than developers.

Public surfaces, aligned to the five lines

Today the outside of the house caught up with the inside.

Every public repo wears its line

All nine public repositories now carry their product line openly: the README banner, the repo description prefix, and the topic tags all say which line a package belongs to — [wire] for the open-data supply line, [facet] for the local platform line, [constellation] for the vertical-pack ecosystem. The flagship fd-open-data-mcp also got its real README back — a documentation accident had left a database-migration archive standing in as the project’s front page. It is a project readme again, in both languages.

    Wire grows a commercial edition

The Wire line page now lists Cloud Data Federation — the hosted, login-gated edition of the open core: five federated databases (statistical yearbooks, Chinese law, World Bank, GTA listed-company panel, China city panel) plus the unified indicator registry, served through one MCP endpoint. In the same move its source code left the public internet: the commercial service ships as container images only, and its historical PyPI releases are yanked. Open core, closed commercial edition — that boundary is now a written rule, not an accident.

Two products, two new front doors

platform.finddatatech.cloud and router.finddatatech.cloud are live. The old addresses (craw., token.) keep answering for a 30-day parallel period and will then redirect permanently — the names on the door finally match the products behind them: the Platform conversation base, and FindDataRouter, the AI API gateway that also powers the platform’s vertical-pack agents.

    The router is under management

FindDataRouter’s deployment is no longer hand-crafted: it lives as a managed manifest in our GitOps repository, rebuildable from code, pinned to a known image. A selling service with no infrastructure-as-code was a debt we are glad to have repaid.

Meet the five lines — one, ten, hundred, thousand, myriad

Our products have names now. Five of them.

    寻数·壹座 Base. 寻数·识律 Lex. 寻数·柏讯 Wire. 寻数·谦面 Facet. 寻数·萬星 Constellation.

Say the Chinese names out loud and listen for the numbers: one, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand. Yizuo (壹座) and Wanxing (萬星) write their numbers openly in formal script — the base and the stars. Shilü (识律), Baixun (柏讯), and Qianmian (谦面) hide theirs in plain speech. The bigger the number, the wider the network: from the single execution base every project runs on, to a myriad of agents — each person’s own.

    Base

The execution base — every FindData project runs on this AI harness platform, across web, mini-program, and desktop, with private deployment.

    Lex

Law, made legible — LawBench contract intelligence, fine-tuned legal models, and the legal corpus.

    Wire

Let AI read the world for you — one open-data ontology, MCP data services, and the crawl platform behind them.

    Facet

A thousand facets — everyone assembles their own text-and-data AI workflows, starting with the DAAS platform.

    Constellation

People connected through their agents — a growing line; FindDataRouter, the AI API gateway, is its first star.

Old product links redirect to the new five-line catalog. One seat, a myriad of stars — 壹座之上,萬星闪耀。

  3. Issue 001柏Wire识Lex

Search by meaning, reads with provenance, and legal data on the MCP

    Wire

    • Search that understands meaning — finding an indicator no longer means guessing its exact code or name: the open-data MCP’s search now matches semantically across indicator names, aliases, and descriptions.
    • Reads you can audit — registry reads now state which source and scope each figure came from, and indicators carry explicit scopes, so every number in an answer can be traced to where it lives.

    Lex

    • Legal search joins the MCP — the business MCP gained four new tools over the legal corpora: search and read across legal documents (legal_docs) and guiding cases (guide_cases), so agents ground legal answers in the same platform they already query for data.

    Coverage baseline

This is the first issue, so it records the baseline the next issue will diff against, instead of deltas. Baseline snapshot (captured 2026-09-29): src/data/release-snapshots/2026-09-29.json

    • 8 curated data modules — 175 MCP concepts, 473 mapped dictionary concepts.
    • All 452 active concepts in the catalog fall inside curated module mappings (100%).
